Akita Rescue and Welfare Trust UK are an amazing Rescue. Every one was so kind and gave me all the best advise when I adopted Amber. We still have regular pupdates with the team and I would highly recommend anyone looking for a new dog to definitely look at ARW, they made Amber and I extremely happy and we are a perfect match and we will never forget what a great team ARW are.

We found ourselves in a very difficult situation with one of our dogs, after living happily with her sisters for five years she fell out with them and the situation became untenable for all concerned. I was most anxious to find the right home for our beloved dog, one where she could live without the constant stress of her sisters harassing her. Akita Rescue did a home visit, were very thorough and fair and were very understanding of the situation. Within a couple of months Akita Rescue found the perfect home for her, where she has settled in and is blossoming. Without Akita Rescue I dread to think what would have happened, it really was and she lived happily ever after. Thank you.

ARW is wonderful I adopted ,y gorgeous 11 month old boy through them and ive had nothing but a totally positive experience. Hugo is such a well behaved boy and so well trained (not all down to me! ). I'm totally in love and WHEN I adopt another one, I won't be going anywhere else.

I adopted my dog, Lucy, from ARW in 2011. Since then they have continued to be extremely supportive whenever I have any questions. I wouldn't hesitate to adopt from them again and nor would I hesitate to recommend them. They offer an extremely professional rescue service. The dogs they care for are in very good hands.

ARWT found me the perfect Akita after a previous adoption from else where had gone sadly wrong and left me devastated. Their kind representative spent time talking to me in person, helped me deal with my feelings and then spent time finding me the lovely Maru, a Japanese Akita Inu. He was brought to me across hundreds of miles by a very knowledgeable and helpful lady. We walked, we talked and she ensured Maru settled in. There was follow up contact for several weeks, months and even now almost 4 years later they love to see and hear from us. How wonderful is that ? And Maru ? What a superb, loving and loyal boy he is and what tremendous happiness he brought to me. Thank you ARWT .

The rescue are very friendly and helpful. They have a lot of volunteers around the country working very hard together to re-home Akita's. They are very efficient to try and re-home Akita's promptly, but they take into account the assessment on the dog and potential owners to try and get the right dogs with the right family. They are willing to help anytime, even years after re-homing an Akita.

AR&W are to me a complete rescue service for Akitas. Very proffessional people that kindly helped with the entire process of adopting my great big bear Cougan. From assessing Cougan (I have two children) right through to delivering him to us I cannot fault this friendly rescue. To this day AR&W are still there for support and advise, and we've made many friends along the way through them. Highly recommended.

Akita Rescue and Welfare bought us to our girl. She is one of the best things that has ever happened to us. She is such a lovely and loving dog. The whole rescue experience was easy and straight forward and it was made this way due to the volunteers who came to do a home assessment. They were truly lovely people that only want the best homes for Akitas looking for their forever homes. I can't recommend this rescue highly enough.
