Really friendly, really helpful team. They were happy to review my application and then go in to more detail with me to see if I could accommodate the pet's needs. I didn't get any contact through the website application (probably due to covid-19 lockdown) but got a response on the same day through the facebook.
I am really glad especially that they took a chance on me as I have had allergies in the past, but fortunately have had no allergic reaction to the cat we chose. The 1 week of fostering before adoption was especially reassuring.
The cat has been a dream so far but I feel reassured that there is advice in place should I have had any issues.Review by: ojshewkin

Lovely centre. We adopted our pair of cats during the pandemic, so had a week of fostering them before adopting. Staff were very knowledgeable and helpful about our cats health problems and requirements. They contacted us several times during the first week. Once adopted, four weeks insurance is given, as well as access to behavioural advice.

The staff were very knowledgable and caring about the animals and provided excellent support during and after the adoption. They were extremely helpful, and the match between person and cat was very good! They provided all food, bedding etc for the week of fostering which was really helpful. The place was a little difficult to find!

Enthusiastic and informative when we applied to adopt 17 year old Smokey. Asked me all the right questions about our 55 years of having cat companions. Then spoke with real affection and understanding of Smokey and his needs. With the restrictions imposed by the coronavirus we fostered Smokey initially and they phoned regularly to ensure that all was well. Now we have adopted Smokey we know that we can phone for advice and support. Smokey is a true gentleman just as they described him.

In corona times, the centre does not welcome visitors so instead we fostered our kitten for a week to get to know her. She was dropped off with everything she might need and more (food, several snacks, igloo, blankets, litter trays, litter, climbing post, toys, ...) to borrow from the centre to help her settle in. This worked wonders and this nervous kitten became a bold lady wanting to explore! During the fostering process we were regularly in touch with the rehoming centre by phone and email, they were always patient, knowledgeable and friendly. When we were concerned about her health, after careful discussion with the centre over the phone and sending pictures to the vet, she was picked up and taken to the vet within a day, and returned back home afterwards. They also knew her personality very well and provided us with tips how to help her. Overall a very positive experience, would highly recommend.

Absolutely!! I have given 5 stars but for some it really is 'n/a' because of C19! Basically, Cambridge Blue Cross amazing. Thank YOU. My friend got her cat, Oswald with you and after my little soulmate, Dan passed away and I have had (and still am) shielding as I have a very serious medical condition, I needed a spark in my life again! George (Moonstone) is certainly that!! Thank you. I have passed on the charity donations and Amazon wish list to and friends and family. I would volunteer but my health condition prevents me from doing so to be honest.
THANK YOU for all the work you all do and being amazing.Review by: Laura G

As first time cat owners we found the rescue centre very patient and helpful with their advice. We were also helped to choose a cat with a suitable temperament for our family. Many of the younger cats go quickly and you need to be prepared to visit the centre to reserve a cat as soon as they come available online. The application process is very straightforward and quick. Overall we were very happy with the adoption of our new cat.

We are so very thankful to Blue Cross for helping us to rehome our daughter's first pet cat. We appreciated their kindness and help throughout the adoption process. Everyone we spoke with seemed happy to answer our many questions about the process and about the history and well-being of our cat. And we left feeling quite supported and encouraged by their obvious care and concern. I would certainly recommend this Blue Cross facility and their lovely staff.

We went here to go to the fun children’s craft day and me and my partner and our 2 children fell in love with Clyde, he was such a lovely and happy cat, so we asked about him while we were there. I let them know I was very interested in Clyde and I filled out a form straight away! The next few days I recieved a call to collect Clyde as he has had has his vet check and was given the all clear. We were so excited! And I couldn’t recommend the blue cross enough. They had a cats second hand sale on and I brought so many things! The staff were very friendly helping me carry the things to my car, they went though everything with me. Notified me about his tail and what to do. Hats off to them! Such lovely and kind staff. No negatives at all. 5 paws to the blue cross, Cambridge!

Me and my boyfriend were looking to adopt a cat and we visited the blue cross website and we found a perfect cat for our home. After we completed the form, we were contacted a couple of days later to go and meet the cat. It was a very pleasant experience, staffs was extremely welcoming and prepared and they gave us a lot of information about the cats we met on that day. We were also able to play with the cat we were interested in and therefore found the perfect match. All the information we needed was provided clearly and after the last veterinary check, we were able to bring the cat home. We would definitely recommend Blue Cross Cambridge if you're looking to adopt a pet.

I found the entire adoption process to be very professional, efficient and pleasant. The staff at the Blue Cross Rehoming Centre in Cambridge are fantastic. They were very welcoming and non-judgemental. I was introduced to Willow (previously Tinkerbell) by Lily who explained everything about Willow's background, treatment since arrival at the Blue Cross and about the adoption process. I was able to take Willow home within a few days of meeting her and she has already settled in to her new home really well after the difficult circumstances of her background.

Following the death of my previous cat, I was keen to rehome another cat. As I live in a 1st floor flat, I can only offer an indoor forever home, so the availability of suitable cats can be quite restricted. Having found a match BC Cambridge, I found the rehoming process from start to finish to be easy, appropriate and suitably fast.
I was very impressed at the facilities available in the pens - indoor and outdoor space, with lots of toys and bedding etc. A volunteer was socialising my potential match on arrival, and everything was very clean.
The only real negative is that the cat's history was explained to me in an area where a radio was playing (to keep the cats company), and I'm a bit hard of hearing. However, I could have asked to go elsewhere!
However, this is only a slight niggle. I am very content that the centre puts the animals in its care as its highest priority, and I would recommend them.Review by: jenchoc

I found the rescue facilities in good condition which was staffed with individuals who clearly cared and wanted the best for the animals
In their care. The only suggestion / improvement would be during adoption process (went to pick cat up) receptionist and staff member were talking whilst we were going through process, staff member kept interrupting which didn't give as professional image as the process could have done. A part from this very small improvement overall we found the staff, home and pets happy, content and loving.Review by: Mani

The staff at this centre clearly care for the cats & kittens residing there. The reservation/adoption process was quite straight forward.
Once I had resevered my kitten, I was able to visit and play with her everyday until such time she was ready to come home (after spaying) which meant that we are able to bond with the kitten and that she settled into our home very quickly. They also offered second-hand carriers for a donation which was really useful.Review by: lsoogumbur

Blue Cross is an excellent place to adopt a cat! The staff are really knowledgeable about the animals, and their information is really detailed. All the details about the cats' previous illnesses or injuries, their home lives, etc., are discussed openly, to help you make the best decision when bringing a new animal into your house. They clearly want the best for all of the cats in their care, and it really shows in the way the cats are treated and homed. It was a great experience, and I couldn't be happier with my adoption!

An excellent rescue centre with very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly staff. The process was very thorough and a good deal of information and advice given. The centre is clean and easy to navigate and the cat pens were a good size and layout so cats could have access to the inside and outside without being stressed out by seeing their neighbours. I would highly recommend adopting a cat from the Blue Cross Cambridge as we felt there was a high level of commitment by all of the staff to provide welfare for their animals. Well done!

Staff were very polite and friendly, especially the volunteer who helped me at the time (Beverley), she was personally responsible for helping me pick out our cat (Bear). A word of advise, if you want to re-home a cat it's worth visiting, as they will not email you immediately to update on which cats have been re-homed. They do try to update their website daily on who is reserved, but will not email straight away.
Disregarding that, the cats were kept happily in clean spacious areas, each with their own cubicle with an enclosed outside area, and had their own array of toys. The staff made the re-homing smooth and very informative as to what to expect as a first time cat owner, providing me with contact details for their cat behaviourist etc. They were especially sweet to provide some dry cat food, as I couldn't remember what brand my partner had bought. All in all, a pleasant experience.Review by: Georgia

Our overall rehoming experience at Blue Cross has been very positive. All the staff we met were welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable - they couldn't have been more helpful and are clearly devoted to their cats. The cats themselves had plenty of room and appeared content and used to being handled. It's also good to have experienced back up on hand if needed in terms of ongoing advice and help. The cat was in a comfortable warm room and wasnt stressed. most of my correspondence had been carried out by email, and I was very happy with this service. We were given plenty of time to go through the forms. Explained about the cats previous history;sent home with her toys, food, dishes and blanket. A very good experience. Everyone we met was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The place was clean and all the cats had ample accommodation. We saw staff/volunteers sitting in with the cats, giving them individual attention. We had been to another rehoming centre and certainly feel the cats had a much better temporary home at Blue Cross. If you are looking to rehome a cat (or other small pet, but not dogs) this is a great place to find one that has been lovingly cared for in the interim.

We first visited the Blue Cross centre in Cambridge just over a month ago with the intention of adopting a cat. All of the staff that we met there were very polite and welcoming. They all knew what they were doing and we were invited to meet the cats that we thought would be a good fit for us. After meeting Sandie a four month old kitten we let the staff know that we would like to adopt her. They then made arrangements for us to collect her on the 4/10 and provided us with lots of information about after care including the free pet insurance and what injections she still required. They even sorted out the change of name to Saffie with the micro chip company. Overall we have been very pleased with the service we received.

Staff were friendly and able to provide a good amount of information both regarding the adoption process and about the cat we were rehoming: i.e. in terms of health, grooming/bathing requirements, accessories needed and where to buy them. It was really evident that the staff cared a great deal about the animals there: the cats' living quarters were clean and they had ample things to do - e.g. toys, scratching posts. We came quite a way to visit the cat that we wanted to adopt: the staff were very cooperative in that they allowed us to take him home that day as opposed to visiting again and also gave us his toys, grooming brushes and water fountain. There was a good selection of very reasonably priced accessories available to buy as well. Overall, a very positive experience: I would recommend the rescue to anyone looking to give a pet a forever home :)

When viewing the cats , i had decided which two i wanted to view. Once i had seen both of them i decided on Nicky a 3 legged beautiful black cat. She was very friendly and warm. A lot of care and attention had been taken. As by her records she had only been at the blue cross cambridge for less than a month. With a broken leg which had to be removed. Her operation had been done 18th Jan 2014. I couldnt believe how well she was getting about, and how friendly she was. I have had her since 12.02.2014 and she has settled in really well. Loves lots of attention and loves playing with her toys. The blue cross gave me plenty of food for her .What i was really surprised of was that they checked her teeth and gave me some special food for her teeth, just to keep them clean. Everything they have done for her , from keeping her well to her health. I would recommend anybody to use them. They have definately given her a good start in life. Any problems i have in the future with her , i have been given a contact number to ring. All i can say is im a very lucky person to have her in my life to share.

We felt the rescue center was friendly and inviting to us when we were looking to adopt a cat. We were able to make an appointment through the blue cross website to visit a cat and received a reply within 48hr. Unfortunately the cat we had come to visit had already been reserved a few hours before our visit but staff helped us to find another and gave us plenty of time to look around at others and provided information about the cats health, temperament or if it had any special needs when we found a possible cat to adopt. All the cats looked well looked after and had clean living environments with plenty of stimulation and attention paid to each cat. The rescue center was clean and tidy and provided us with lots of information about the adoption process along with leaflets. They also provided us with a pack when we took our cat home with some sample packs of food, all medical information about vaccinations and flee/worming treatment dates along with the 1 month insurance cover details provided and when the micro chip information will be updated to our own details. Overall fantastic, low point was treatment from volunteer on duty when I went to pick up our cat, who traumatised me by asking whether I wanted to torture our new cat when I asked to purchase the soft carrier which was on sale there. Gratuitously insensitive behaviour to human, though I hope and appreciate that she must be kind to animals and her volunteering is commendable - I did not know that cats did not like these, and if so, why were they for sale at the shelter? There also seemed to be staff miscommunication about a supposed need to keep the new cat in one room for a week in the new house. Otherwise a most commendable place, doing great work. It was a real pleasure to visit Blue Cross Cambridge Rehoming Centre - we felt very relaxed and welcome from the moment we arrived. The enclosures for each cat were immaculate, as were the cats, with plenty of toys to keep each 'guest' entertained and lots of cozy beds and soft things to make them comfortable and help them feel safe. We liked being able to read the profile for each cat, which told us a little about them and helped us to gauge whether we would be suitable adoptive 'parents' for an individual. All of the staff that we met on both occasions that we visited were professional, very knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. There was just the right amount of guidance and assurances without making adopting an animal seem like a decision without consequence. We were very lucky to find Hugh, a beautiful, playful 1 year old cat, that has come to live with us and has already become a family member and wonderful companion. I would definitely recommend Blue Cross Cambridge to others that are considering adopting an animal in need of a new, loving home. Adoption: June 2013

We have adopted from the Cambridge Blue Cross on two separate occasions, first in May 2009 and again in May 2013. Some of the staff who helped us in 2009 were still there in 2013. They show real attention to each cat; we visited and saw staff members spending time with the cats, fussing them and grooming, making sure they had human contact and were socialised. The shelter is well maintained and very clean. Each pen gives information about the cat for rehoming so you know the history and can decide who you want to meet. We were never rushed when meeting cats and always had the time we needed to decide if they would fit into our home. Our latest addition had had an operation and Blue Cross kept her an extra week to make sure she was fully healed before she came home with us. She's now settling in really well. I'd recommend them highly. Adoption: May 2013

The adoption process was very good. There wasn't so much choice, which they said was unusual and this is not their fault. They knew their animal well and there was lots of detail for each person who had contact with the animal, written in their notes on the kennel. This steered us clear from a cat who had scratched several workers and would be possibly unsuitable for our one year old child to be around. We took our cat home the next day and were given a carrier to borrow when our one was too small. We were given lots of information and a healthy supply of food, which i didn't expect to receive. Having insurance for a month meant that we didn't have to organise this in a rush. I had a concern the next day and was able to speak with someone for advice. They didn't rush or make me feel silly. We didn't get a home visit, which I would have expected and this was better for us in terms of convenient but I wonder if perhaps they should have done for the benefit of the animals that they rehome. Overall, a very nice experience and we are very happy with out cat. Adoption: Feb 2013

Not only are the cats clean and well-fed, but the staff try to relax them and stimulate them with play when needed. She came home with some food, insurance and a blanket that she had been used to which helped with her settling into her new surroundings. Adoption: 2012

The staff were professional, knowledgeable and extremely competent. I was made to feel special as an individual who was adopting a cat and not as simply a member of the public. All of my questions were answered well and confidently. The paperwork was complete and thorough. Most importantly, I was encouraged to contact them again if I had any other concerns. Thank you, Blue Cross Cambridge!! Adoption: 2012

We adopted our cat last week from the cambridge blue cross. The staff were fantastic very friendly and informative and seemed to know about all the animals individually. The only negative was the place was difficult to find and we got lost with the sat nav.
The animals all looked welll cared for and clean and seemed content. The adoption process was very easy and we being first time cat owners were given lots of advice and all our queries and questions were answered.
I would recommend them to other people who are looking for a rescue centre. Adoption: 2012 -

Very professional and friendly staff with a wide selection of cats. Shelter clean and airy - a great environment for the animals awaiting adoption - would recommend Cambridge Bluecross. Adoption: 2012

Very smooth adoption of my kittens. I was encouraged to visit and play with them several times before taking them home. Staff made me very welcome on these occasions. On the day of collection, I was given a lot of time and everything explained clearly. Impressed to receive 4 weeks insurance, supply of food, microchipping, vaccination and neutering had been done. My vet was impressed with the medical records I was given.
Was not sure why these were the only two kittens available to me when there were others at the shelter that had not yet been reserved, but I am more then happy with them. The date of birth I was given was clearly inaccurate by at least a month and it seemed odd that such experienced professionals should have taken the word of whoever brought them in. But these are petty criticisms. Overall I was extremely impressed and would recommend highly to anybody. Adoption: 2012 -

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They were very clear explaining the adoption process after making sure that we were accompanied when visiting the animals. It helped that we were asked to fill in the initial form which clarified what we were seeking and what home a prospective pet would heve and its suitability. All our questions were answered thoroughly. We were given helpful guides and on visits were allowed to meet the cats to get to know them. Very positive experience. Adoption: 2012

I adopted a pair of kittens, Magnus & Marcus, very inquisitive brothers, from the Blue Cross in Cambridge. It was my second time adopting from the centre, as I'd previously adopted a pair of elderly cats several years ago, who sadly have now each passed away.
Both times adopting from the centre I've found the staff there knowledgeable, very supportive and good at explaining the process, as well as giving plenty of information on pet guardianship for once you get home. It also really comes through that they care for the animals and finding them their best new home. Adoption: 2012 -

The staff gave lots of information of the cats we were looking at. We were given details of animal behaviour expert if we had any problems with the cats. The cats have settled in very well and we are very happy with the whole rehoming process. Adoption: 2012

This was my first time adopting a cat from a rescue centre and I was very impressed with the professional way the whole process was carried out, from initial interview and cat viewing to final adoption. There was plenty of information on the cats to help my decision and the pens were very modern and clean with lots of toys, beds etc for the cats. They carry out vet checks, microchipping, insurance etc. to ensure cats are healthy. I would recommend them to everyone. Adoption: 2012

When we arrived at Blue Cross the staff were very efficient and came over to speak to us very quickly. When we went through to see the cats, they gave us all the relevant information and more about them, which makes the process of adopting a cat easier. They were always willing to answer any questions and they would find any information out for us if they didn't know. It was nice that the staff let you spend some time with the cats in the pens so they could get to know you. Adoption: 2012

From the moment we walked in and explained our situation the staff were very understanding and suportive. We were directed to the vewing areas and left to our own devises, and not pestered. When we asked to see our kittens, we were escorted in, introduced and given the full storey behind thier arriveal at the home. We were then left to enjoy the kittens. The day of the adoption was no different really. All in all, a very very pleasant and hassle free experience. Every member of staff that we met were brilliant. Thanks Blue Cross x x. Adoption: 2012

My son is a volunteer with the Blue Cross Charity at Cambridge, so I am used to calling in when I drop him off and collect him. When he came home saying that he had seen the perfect cat for our family, I was persuaded. The cat was in fact a kitten so we had to wait a couple of weeks until he had completed all the necessary treatments. During this waiting period we were able to call in and visit the kitten to play and bond with him. The staff were knowledgeable, answering our queries and providing useful tips. He is now at home with us and is settling in quickly to become a welcome addition to our family. Adoption: 2012

I was very happy with all the services I recieved from the blue cross shelter but I thought the holding pens were very smelly. Im sure with a little more effort this could be avoided cats dont like smelly or dirty places but over all everything else was fantastic and I was very pleased with the service I got. My cat is happy, I'm happy. Please could we have some food for a year. jack and boots. Adoption: 2012

I had been keeping an eye on the Cambridge Blue Cross web site for a cat that might be suitable to adopt as a companion for an older kitten I already had. When I found one and visited the Blue Cross, they were very helpful and asked questions about my cat and a bit about my lifestyle and where I lived so they could make sure the kitten I was interested in was a good match. I really appreciated that, because it made me feel like they really did care about where their animals were re-homed. When I went back to meet the kitten (he was out at the vet's the first time I visited), the gentleman who helped me was very knowledgeable and obviously had a lot of affection for animals in his care. Everyone was also very helpful with information about how to introduce the two cats when I got Fezzy home! I was grateful for their advice, because I'd never been through that process before and might have been worried about the way Sophie reacted. As it was, I expected almost every reaction and they have now been successfully living together for over a month. Fezzy is a sweet and affectionate boy (with a mild naughty streak!) and I think he and Sophie are good for one another. Sophie isn't so lonely and bored when I'm at work, and Fezzy has a big sister to play with. I think he might have been lonely on his own, too! Adoption: 2011

The staff at Blue Cross were welcolming and very professional (on our first visit we arrived almost as they were closing but they didn't try to hurry us and explained the adoption proceedure at length). There was an obvious love of animals when we talked to the staff and they went into great length about the animals we were interested in, to ensure that we would be a match. Adoption: 2011

The staff were really friendly and helpful. They know a lot about the animals. Even where the animal has been abandoned so its background is unknown, the staff still get to know the animal and its personality. They gave really good advice about which cat was best for us and would fit in the best in our home. Adoption: 2011

The Blue Cross clearly give the animals in their care the highest standards of care and attention. Each animal or pair has access to the outside, plus warm shelter, which I was happy to see. You can tell from the minute you walk in that staff and volunteers working there love to do so. Each animal is treated with affection and warmth (as important as food and shelter). They also have an easy-to-read profile for each animal to help match them to a perfect new home.
We were enthusiastically greeted when we told them who we would like to adopt too (as there had not been much interest in them to-date; I don't know why, they are wonderful cats). We were given their full history there and then!
When we collected our cats, we went through everything in detail again from their medical history to what they like to eat. They even supplied some of the toys they had been playing with, to help familiarise them in their new home; a very thoughtful touch.
For the small fee (£50 per cat), each cat was fully immunised, microchipped and neutered/spayed. They even sent us home with 2 weeks' supply of food! Adoption: 2011
I could not speak more highly of the Blue Cross Cambridge and would definitely recommend anyone wanting to adopt a small animal to contact them. -

We chose the blue cross because they were the most local rescue centre for us. We don't drive so we needed somewhere that was easy to get to by public transport. No complaints at all. The staff were really professional and knowledgeable and helped us find a suitable cat.
They chatted to my husband about our circumstances and what we were looking for in a cat. They then suggested a couple of cats and my husband picked one he liked. They let him reserve the cat until I could visit the next day which was helpful. I'd definitely go back if I wanted to get another cat. Adoption: 2011

I like blue cross because it is a good organisation, as soon as i walk in staff are so helpful and try to help me find the right cat for me and when I did find the right cat for me they told me that i could come any time i want to see my kittens they made me feel so welcome. I like that the kitten was so friendly so they must have alot of time spent on them.
The only thing that was bit bad was the time it was open, it was hard for me to get the kitten but not a big deal I found away around that. Adoption: 2011 -

I initially contacted the shelter via email, having seen a kitten we wanted on their website. As their website is updated so regularly, it was nice to know the available animals were up to date. My emails were responded to promptly, within an hour most of the time, and all initial questions were easily covered. I found the staff very helpful, and I loved the pens the cats had, they had LOADS of toys, shelves and hidey places, and were very clean. I have visited other shelters, but found this one to be my favourite for ease of seeing the animals, whilst the animals could feel comfortable in their own environment. I also like the view Blue Cross have with their animals, which basically boils down to 'if you can't cope/keep your adopted pet, take it back to them', this comes across that they are serious about their tenants' welfare for life. I think another local shelter could take notes on this one! Adoption: 2011

After spotting Topaz (now called Reggie) a little black kitten, we fell in love. The staff were every helpful and we were invited into the pen to meet him. Our little girl who is one year old, made a lot of noise but this did not effect Reggie and we then knew that he was the cat for us.
We already have another cat called Ruby and after arriving home with Reggie, Ruby did not welcome him with open paws. After calling the Blue Cross and speaking to the staff we were reassured that this was quite normal.
Reggie is loved by all of our family and Ruby as well! -

The cats are very well looked after, have proper veterinary care and are all microchipped. They have volunteers at Blue Cross who socialise the animals and the staff have a record of their history and behaviour which is reassuring. What was best for me was the care they took over the adoption process and how well they explained everything. It was a joy finding our cat. I would recommend adopting an animal to anyone, and especially from Blue Cross. Adoption: 2011

Molly is the second elderly cat whom we've adopted from the Blue Cross in Cambridge and, in both cases, we have found it an easy, sensitively handled and richly rewarding experience.
The empathy which the staff have for the individual animals is remarkable; their ability to inform and guide is invaluable. We visited Molly over a period of time to get to know her and make sure that we were the right home for her, and the staff supported this in every way they could.
We are thrilled and delighted with Molly, who is settling very well indeed, and running rings round us as we speak - which is just how we like it!
Our last cat, Tilly, was an absolute joy for the three years we were able to keep her going, and we're looking forward now to some new adventures with Molly Bloom! Adoption: 2011 -

Extremely friendly and professional. The staff were most helpful and had real empathy for the animals in their care, making sure that the home we were offering was right for the animals we were introduced to.
We are so impressed with Cambridge Blue Cross that we are singing it's praises to our cat-loving friends! Adoption: 2011 -

Very friendly staff. I’ve rehomed from them before, and they’re always excellent at matching me to an appropriate cat. They have extensive knowledge about each of the animals, and encourage you to spend time getting to know the animal before you make a final decision. Never in a rush, and let you take your time to look at the cats. No pressure to make a decision quickly. They also provide a really good phone service after rehoming for any queries. I would very much recommend them to anyone thinking of rehoming an animal! Adoption: 2011

The sign at the road was very old, could hardly be read. It was at the road end but i had to drive along another road and guess which way in a houseing estate. It was thanks to an AA man at the end of road who called out to me to go along the road. Extreemly good service, but the stairs steps could be an issue. Was not told of a ramp etc. We were only told to phone if needed re behaviour of cat. And mum is not one to do that, A call to the people who took a cat would be an idea. Not a complaint at all. We were very satisfied at the time and at a Mc Donalds nearby we finished our coffee before going home as it was needed. It is quite a stressfull few minutes getting a cat and doning the paperwork and getting it all sorted. longer opening hours would be an idea/ok for us. Adoption: 2011

The experience was very positive. We received very detailed information about our kitten and it had been cared for very well whilst in the care of the animal home.
There was a lot of paperwork to read through which I would preferred to have done at home but I know there are lots of legalities which have to be covered.
We are very happy with the adoption process. Adoption: 2011 -

We have adopted a cat who has a special diet and previous medical issues. When we visited her, the Blue Cross ensured we knew the commitment we were going to make and also let us spend time with her getting to know each other - the whole process is very detailed and professional. There is quite a lot of paperwork to read and sign before taking a cat home, but this is far better than a rushed, haphazard process. The charity have also been very helpful in explaining what would be needed to home our cat and the costs involved. As this was our first cat, they have also been great at answering questions via email or telephone. I heartily recommend them to all! Adoption: 2011

I cannot praise enough the young lady who showed me around with my daughter who was looking to rehome a cat. She spent a few hours with us, very informative and patient, helped us with all the questions we needed answering and helped us choose our new cats. I had not intended on rehoming that day, I was just there for support, but ended up taking home a lovely stray cat called Coral who has settled in very well with my dog and 3 other cats. The home is very clean and well presented and the cats have a great place to stay until they are rehomed, They offered suport after you have taken your cat home and everything included in the price. Would definately recommend rehoming from here. Adoption: 2011

I adopted 2 cats from Blue Cross, Cambridge in Feb 2011. The staff were friendly and helpful and gave me lots of practical advice about integrating my new cats with my older girl cats. They were kind and patient with my 3 children who were very excited and had lots of questions and worked hard to involve my daughter who is disabled in the process. The cats were in very good health and well cared for. All in all a very positive experience and since these are the 3rd and 4th cats I have adopted from this branch in 10 years I think it's clear that I wouldn't go anywhere else now. Adoption: 2011

Our last cat died through crystals. We then adopted a young cat (10 mths old) from the Blue Cross - but he developed the same symptoms. We thought he would die and didn’t know how we were going to pay (for treatment) but the Blue Cross came to our rescue and helped with the treatment and special food needed and have been wonderful beyond words to us. Adoption: 2009.
